Liz has 14 years of experience as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer specialising in private equity.
Liz undertook articles of clerkship with Cameron McKenna in London. Following qualification, she joined the corporate and commercial department where she assisted with a number of development and expansion capital transactions and small scale buyouts for clients such as Lloyds TSB Development Capital, Kleinwort Benson Development Capital and Mercury Asset Management (now HG Capital).
In 1996, Liz moved to Ashurst where she focused on larger buyouts for, among others, Advent, Barclays Private Equity and Cinven and mezzanine finance for Intermediate Capital Group.
Liz emigrated to Australia in 1999. She joined Baker & McKenzie where she worked on mergers and acquisitions such as Gate Gourmet's acquisition of Ansett Catering, Hagemeyer's investment in The Electrical Group and Bayard's acquisition of Landis & Gyr. She also continued to advise on private equity transactions including Gresham Private Equity's investment in Raywood and, alongside Grant Samuel Private Equity and Macquarie Direct, Repco, AMP Capital's buy and build of Vision Group, Archer's secondary buyout of Emeco and CHAMP's buyout of Study Group and buy and build of Food Holdings.
After almost 5 years as a partner at Bakers, Liz took a year out to work for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, a not-for-profit conservation organisation. Liz joined Ironbridge in 2008.
Liz is admitted as a legal practitioner in New South Wales and as a solicitor in England & Wales. She has a law degree from Cambridge University.
