Ironbridge

Julian is a founding Partner of Ironbridge, a leading Australian MBO firm. Julian was previously the Managing Director of Gresham Private Equity. One of the most experienced local investors, Ironbridge has over $1.5 billion of committed capital and 20 staff in Australia and New Zealand. Ironbridge focuses on $250 - 750 million transactions.

After completing BComm and LLB degrees in South Africa, Julian began his investment banking career in 1980 with Hill Samuel. Julian moved to London in 1985 to become a director of Hill Samuel Group. In 1989 he joined leading UK investment banking boutique J.O. Hambro Magan and was appointed Managing Director in 1994. Julian's extensive international experience involved major cross-border acquisitions and investments.

Julian has served four terms on the Council of AVCAL (Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association) and was Chairman of AVCAL in 2008.
